Plain-English policy

Privacy

Steerage is built to work without knowing who you are. Your study data stays yours.

Last updated: 16 July 2026

The short version

Steerage does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. The app has no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics. Your study history, settings, and progress are stored locally on your device.

Information stored on your device

The app saves your flashcard progress, quiz results, daily pace, streaks, and settings locally so it can schedule reviews and show your progress. This information does not leave your device through Steerage.

If you delete the app, your device may delete this locally stored information. Steerage does not keep a server-side copy.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store. RevenueCat is used to confirm whether the lifetime unlock is active. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase and device-related information under their own privacy policies. Steerage does not receive your payment-card details.

Website

This website does not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies, contact forms, or other tools that collect personal information. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process basic network and security data to deliver and protect the site under its own privacy terms.

Children’s privacy

Because Steerage does not collect personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated before those changes take effect. The date above will show when the policy was revised.
